Coronavirus testing information for child care providers

I wanted to share with you this COVID-19 testing information from the state Department of Health. Essential workers, including child care providers, who do not have access to testing may call the New York State COVID-19 Hotline at 1-888-364-3065 or visit covid19screening.health.ny.gov to be screened for eligibility. If you are considered eligible, you may schedule an appointment at one of the state’s testing sites.

Gov. Cuomo announces $30 million in CARES act funds for child care providers

Gov. Andrew Cuomo recently announced that $30 million in federal funds will pay for supplies for child care providers as well as for the child care fees for eligible essential workers. The state will use funds authorized through the recently passed federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act, otherwise known as the CARES Act.
