2021 Spring RTC elections

Every three years, members of the Retired Teachers Chapter have the opportunity to elect their chapter’s leadership. The RTC bipartisan election committee, in coordination with the American Arbitration Association, has agreed on the following dates and deadlines for its 2021 chapter elections, which will be conducted by mail.

Retiree Optional Rider checks to be mailed in February

Optional Rider reimbursement checks will be mailed in February and should be received by the end of the month. Checks are mailed to most retirees automatically.

Retiree Social Services provides key COVID lifeline

More retirees than ever are looking for support from the UFT Welfare Fund Retiree Social Services Department since the start of the pandemic. Some need practical, concrete assistance with food delivery or referrals for home care, while other who are overwhelmed by the threat of the virus need emotional support as they struggle with anxiety and isolation.
