WHEREAS, drug prices in Canada are far below prices for the same drugs in the United States, and
WHEREAS, the House of Representatives has approved a bill permitting importation of drugs from Canada, and
WHEREAS, the Senate, under the Republicans, have failed to permit a drug importation bill (Snow-Dorgan) from coming to a vote, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that we demand that the Senate leadership immediately permit a vote on the drug importation bill. We are confident that once a vote is taken on the bill, it will pass overwhelmingly on a bi-partisan basis.
