WS 908 EDITH HALPERT: BARRIER BREAKER IN THE ART WORLD VIRTUAL TOUR WITH SYLVIA LAUDIEN-MEO Learn about Edith Halpert’s impressive influence on the early 20th century art world while looking at some of the treasures that were sold in her gallery.  She was at the fore front of creating a taste for folk art while breaking down barriers in the existing art world representing young immigrant artists’ from various backgrounds including Elie Nadelman, Ben Shahn, Yosuo Kuniyoshi and Jacob Lawrence (first African-American artist).
