Mark your calendar for the UFT's annual Lobby Day in Albany on Monday, March 16, 2026. Registrants will board early morning buses leaving from each borough to speak with state representatives about issues important to UFT members, such as fixing Tier 6 and increasing funding for New York City public schools. UFT members who contribute to COPE, the union's political action fund, are invited to come. Registration will be available at a later date.

Our general membership meetings of the UFT Retired Teachers Chapter will provide you with the latest information about important issues facing our chapter and union.

Brooklyn District 75 and high school paraprofessionals are invited to register for an upcoming workshop about time and attendance. This session will provide important information about timekeeping procedures. 

The UFT Jewish Heritage Committee will host the ritual service and ceremonial dinner at the UFT Brooklyn borough office. The night will include a traditional ceremony with candle-lighting, singing, kosher food and quotes connecting the themes of Passover — liberation and redemption — with labor activism and social justice.
