Are you a provider looking to earn your first Child Development Associate credential? Are you interested in joining a family child care network, teaching 3-K or pre-K children, or being nationally recognized as a high-quality program? Register for our summer training to earn your CDA at no cost! If you are interested in enrolling, you must attend this virtual orientation and class.

Register to attend OCFS Health and Safety Training for providers. The New York State Office of Children and Family Services requires that all new family or group child care providers complete a 15-hour state-approved training course before becoming a licensed child care provider. Participants must attend all three sessions of the course in the same cohort to receive certification. This training is NOT for informal providers.

Don't miss out on the UFT Professional Provider Education Program's summer professional development courses. This five week course is designed to fulfill a provider's 30-hour professional development requirement for license renewal. This course can be applied to OCFS training topic 10. 

Register for the UFT Professional Provider Education Program's STEYL (Self-Regulation Techniques for Educators of Young Learners) course. This is a four-class series with a focus on techniques for early childhood educators that help children develop self-regulation, and its importance in their development. This workshop is open to all NYC licensed and registered FCC and GFCC providers.

Each four-hour class is designed to meet the needs of licensed, registered and legally exempt (informal) providers. Courses will take place at the UFT's Manhattan or Queens borough offices on various dates and are open to the general public.
