Job opportunities for guidance counselors

Alfred University's Downstate Programs is looking for qualified individuals to serve as adjunct instructors for the Master's of Science in School Counseling, Master's in Counseling and the Certificate of Advanced Study in Mental Health Counseling. Candidates must have at least five years working as a professional counselor. We are currently looking for instructors to teach courses in the following:

  • Foundations in Mental Health Counseling
  • Substance Abuse Counseling
  • Multicultural Counseling
  • Principles of Counseling
  • Psychopathology
  • Group Counseling

     

Alfred University offers courses in conjunction with the Center for Integrated Teacher Education, which provides recruitment and logistical support in offering the program. The university is looking to recruit instructors for weekend courses in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island and the Bronx.
