UFT members from schools in the Bronx had fun while raising $450 to benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer at the third annual Zumba class fundraiser on Oct. 2. The 90-minute exercise class, organized by Susan Perez, the borough’s Victim Support Program coordinator, combined samba, salsa and squats. Participants paid $10 each for the class. Several other fundraisers were planned prior to the official Making Strides walk on Oct. 19. On Oct. 14, Perez held a tutu party at which volunteers made tutus to sell at schools and at the walk.
