Twenty members of the UFT Players slipped into their roles as passengers aboard a cruise ship in an original play — “Sail On, Seniors!” — that explored the problems and pleasures of senior life. Presented to a full house on both Nov. 13 and 15 at UFT headquarters, the play was conceived and directed by Lolly Yacker-Winderbaum and written by Milton Polsky and Warren Wyss. The 20-character cast revealed a breadth of talent as they danced, juggled, sang and played their parts with generous portions of joy, pathos and humor. The UFT Players have been honing their acting, playwriting and production skills for 17 years with an astounding average output of 10 original and classic productions a year. Choreography was handled by Susanne Lamberg and musical direction by Robert Bero. above: Marjorie Bryant and Polsky check the passenger list aboard the SS Accord.
