The Chill Zone at my school includes board games, educational games, cards, puzzles, LEGOs, sensory items, cash registers and hygiene and grooming supplies. The area is a shared space for all students. It was created to influence peer interaction among our students with disabilities, giving them a fun yet safe way to make friends and socialize. During the spring, students can use the Chill Zone items outside.
