In my classroom, I keep bobbleheads of most of the U.S. presidents in a long line on my windowsill. I use them in my U.S. and Global History classes ­— they make the content come alive. As we study historical events, I move the bobbleheads from that period to the front of the classroom as a kind of living timeline. I put content notes under each one — the Civil War under Lincoln, for example. The visual support helps the students with sequence and periodization.
