In October, my students attended a private screening of 'He Named Me Malala,' the documentary about Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani girl who was shot by the Taliban after she spoke out about girls' rights to attend school. The trip was funded by DonorsChoose.org and the Students Stand with Malala program. The student work shows Malala's story through various resources and how students were inspired by Malala's efforts to stand up for every girl's right to receive a quality education.
