Students learning about activism

New York Teacher

Image

We are doing a study of New York City through the lens of social justice. It’s proven to be really powerful. Watching 7-year-olds learn about activism and hearing their ideas about equality and freedom gives me goosebumps. Each table of students in my classroom is named after a person or people we have been studying. This poster hangs in our room to remind kids which tables select books from our classroom library on which day.
