Medicare and Medicaid are turning 50 – and it’s time to celebrate!

Please join me and others of your colleagues from health care and the labor movement at a 50th birthday bash for Medicare and Medicaid this Thursday, July 30.

• What:Medicare and Medicaid 50th Birthday Bash
• When: Thursday, July 30, at 10 a.m.
• Where: Professional Staff Congress headquarters, 61 Broadway, 16th floor
• Why:Because it is imperative that we defend these critical programs on which so many Americans depend.

Medicare and Medicaid are landmark programs that have for 50 years been a lifeline for seniors, the disabled and those unable to afford private health insurance. But they are under attack, which is why as health care providers it is critical that we speak out in their defense and raise awareness about the benefits they provide to so many. What better way to do so than by commemorating their 50th anniversary!
