- Wednesday, Nov. 30: Public Advocate Letitia James invites you to a public forum about the state of New York City Renewal Schools in year three of the program. - Tuesday, Dec. 6: You're invited to a free presentation about breastfeeding disparities and the Baby Friendly Initiative. The lecture will run from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and again from 1 to 2 p.m. at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center, 395 Lenox Road in Brooklyn. - Saturday, Dec. 10: The Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum invites girls who are 8th- and 9th-grade students to an information session about its "GOALS for Girls" summer intensive. - Wednesday, Dec. 14: There will be a free UFT Beautiful Me! workshop at 6 p.m. at UFT headquarters, 52 Broadway in Manhattan, on the 10th floor. - Saturday, Dec. 17: Mentoring in Medicine, Inc. invites students of all ages, parents, educators, health professionals and community members to a free health and science expo.
