The Daily News is now accepting nominations for its “Hometown Heroes in Education” awards.

Teaming up with the UFT, the Department of Education and the Council of School Supervisors and Administrators, the Daily News is honoring public school workers who display the qualities of generosity, compassion, dedication, selflessness and ingenuity — the unsung members who are making an extraordinary difference in the lives of our city’s schoolchildren and their communities.

Nominations are due by July 25. The nomination information and guidelines are on the newspaper’s website.
