With the Nov. 7 election fast approaching, we are asking you to join a labor walk organized by the state AFL-CIO to knock on fellow union members' doors in a massive canvassing operation across New York City to tell New Yorkers to turn over their ballots and vote NO on Proposal #1. If New York voters approve a convention, it will open up the entire New York State constitution for revision. A constitutional convention would put pensions in danger. Civil rights enshrined in our state constitution — in some cases stronger than those guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution — would also be at risk. Please help us spread the word!
