Parents Jennifer Sayers (center) and Annette Rodriguez learn CPR skills during a workshop.

Dear parents, grandparents, guardians and education activists,

Since this is our November newsletter, I want to take the opportunity to recognize the veterans in our community. Happy Veterans Day, and thank you for your service.

Thank you also to those of you who joined us for the UFT Manhattan parent conference on Oct. 21. More than 500 inspiring parents, guardians and advocates joined together for a great day of learning and connecting. I look forward to seeing you at more UFT parent events over the course of the school year!
