With smiling faces, loaded backpacks and high hopes for the year ahead, students across the city headed back to school on Wednesday, Sept. 9. From elementary to high schools, teachers greeted students new and old with smiles, hugs and high-fives.
It was a day of new beginnings and optimism about a new school year about to unfold. Kicking off the year with a sense of unity, some teaching teams even dressed alike in their school’s T-shirts.
For many students, the day was a family affair. Proud siblings posed together for their parents before heading off to separate classes.
