There has been a delay in the distribution of parking placards for the 2015–16 school year. Many schools — but not all — received their parking permits on Friday, Oct. 30, 2015. Given this delay, the DOE has informed the UFT that all 2014–15 permits that expired in October 2015 will be honored through November 2015. The DOE expects to complete the 2015–16 parking permit distribution by Nov. 20 at the latest.

Schools that have not yet received their 2015–16 permits should continue to use their 2014–15 permits.

In the event that any UFT members using a 2014–15 parking permit receives a parking ticket in November 2015 that is a result of an expired 2014–15 placard, please make a copy of the placard and the ticket and contact your district representative. The DOE will take care of these tickets.

The protocol for distributing parking placards remains the same.
