The DOE has announced that schools will be open on Monday, Jan. 25. Use caution when traveling to work.

Please leave extra time to travel, and use mass transit wherever possible. There will be less access to parking due to the snow.

The UFT, as always, will be talking to the Department of Education about all the different situations that UFT members will be facing with respect to the challenges of Monday's commute.

After-school programs will also be open.

All field trips using yellow school buses are canceled.

For schools with yellow bus service, custodians have been asked to clear a path from the street to the sidewalk to enable students to exit buses safely. This may or may not be at your school's normal loading location, depending upon snow. 

The DOE anticipates there will be travel delays.
