Leo Benardo

Leo Benardo began his career as a teacher of foreign languages in the New York City public school system in 1947.

Edith Packer-Greenberg

Edith Packer-Greenberg taught 6th grade and gifted children at PS 42 in Arverne, Queens for many years.

Reynaldo Beltre

Reynaldo Beltre was a UFT member for 10 years and a dedicated paraprofessional at the Business of Sports School in Manhattan.

Sharyn Levine

Sharyn Levine was a loyal UFT member for 36 years, teaching language arts first at the Arthur S. Somers MS in Brooklyn and then at IS 75 on Staten Island.

Lorraine C. Porter

Lorraine C. Porter was a chapter leader at PS 6 in East Flatbush, Brooklyn for the last eight years.

Carolyn Grossman

Carolyn Grossman was a kindergarten teacher at PS 200 in Bath Beach, Brooklyn.

Shirley Safran

Shirley Safran was an English teacher at Art & Design HS, where she directed school plays and coached the debate team.

Norma Joseph Hart

Norma Joseph Hart, a school psychologist for more than 20 years, was a UFT delegate and a founding member of the Hispanic Affairs and Capably Disabled committees.

Louis Tagliani

Louis Taglione was the beloved longtime teacher, assistant principal and then principal of PS 23 in Richmondtown, Staten Island from 1964 to 1996.

Bruce Davidson

Bruce Samuel Davidson, a former high school teacher, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2016 in New York City.
