If you are new to the civil service exam process, here is some key information:
- The exams for the two DOE therapist titles are education and experience exams. The exam asks you to clearly specify the details of all of your relevant experience, so you should have that information at hand when you take the exam.
- You must also be licensed, so have your license information available as well.
- Points are awarded on the exam for meeting the minimum requirements, and additional credit is given for each month of work experience. Applicants receive one point per month for experience in a school setting and one-half point per month for experience in a nonschool setting.
- Applicants are informed of the results and given further instructions immediately after submitting the online examination.
