I read your story about the teacher who gave her raffle ticket winnings to a student’s family [“A beautiful moment,” March 27]. When a teacher does something wrong, everyone knows. Yet when a teacher does something good (because the majority of teachers are wonderful and care so much for their students), hardly anyone knows or recognizes it.

This article recognizes all of the wonderful and dedicated teachers who work hard and do good deeds daily. We all went into this profession because we are good people trying to make a difference in the lives of children.
