Having worked on one of Carmen Fariña’s district subcommittees during the 2003–04 school year, I recall that she was very fair. But she has a lot of work to do, including regaining the trust of our teachers. The corruption and teacher abuse during the last mayor’s tenure was scandalous. What a disgrace the last 12 years have been in the history of public education for New York City.
