Remember Bret Schundler? He was the New Jersey commissioner of education in Chris Christie’s cabinet who was fired by the governor for lies concerning the loss of $400 million in Race to the Top funds. At first Christie blamed it on the Obama administration, but there was a videotape which showed the plan submitted was not good enough to score the additional points.
Instead of taking responsibility, the New Jersey governor did his usual thing: called Schundler a liar, fired him and ruined his political reputation.
Schundler countered that he did not lie and proved it. Now let us see what all the “liars” in the governor’s senior staff have to say about “Bridgegate.”
