I read the story on your website about the state budget [“State budget deal hikes school spending while adding protections for charters,” March 31]. Apparently, it doesn’t matter to our governor that public school students don’t have a right to the space in their school buildings, are made to feel less important than the charter school(s) that reside in their buildings, and aren’t afforded the same supplies and technology as the charters. Gov. Cuomo, this is not the type of competition that our students should be learning.
