To the Editor:

Just a quick note to acknowledge our appreciation to the UFT for sharing our school’s story. After the article came out [on the UFT website] on the first anniversary of Hurricane Sandy, I found time (which is hard to come by these days with all the new curriculum) to share the article on the smartboard with my class. Together we read it and agreed that it captured the realities and emotions felt by so many. They all plan on posting it on their Facebook pages!
