Let’s think of the presidential election and what it means for the future of public education.
We are fortunate that in the 2016 election there is a candidate for president of the United States who has a long and positive record in support of our public schools. That candidate is Hillary Clinton.
Clinton shares the ideas and values of what our union stands for. She is a true friend of public school teachers and a caring individual for the concerns of children.
Here are some facts you should know:
- Clinton’s support for teacher unionism has never been in doubt. She is an advocate for teacher unions.
- Her belief in justice and due process extends to teachers just as it does to other citizens.
- She has a long history in support of early childhood education.
- She has stated that there is no credible evidence that test results are a true measure of a teacher’s competence.
- Clinton wants all of our public schools to be effective and knows that our public schools must receive adequate funding and public support.
When it comes to public education, our public schools and our public school teachers, Clinton has never wavered in her support. We must elect her as our new president. The 2016 election will be crucial in determining the future of public education.

Hillary Clinton put into motion the Arab Spring that destroyed Europe and the tentacles are reaching our country. Clinton will not only follow the same un-American, pro-Muslim, pro-illegals, anti-white policies that President Barack Obama put into motion, but will destroy the First and Second Amendments. She will appoint four or five liberal/radical Supreme Court justices and our country will not recover for 100 years.
We will lose total respect from our citizens and world leaders, resulting in the United States being a Third World power. As Thomas Jefferson said, “I’m giving you a republic and hope you can keep it.” It doesn’t look like we can keep it if Clinton wins.
A vote for Clinton is a vote for the coup de grace of my country. Liberalism is a mental disorder, and the UFT is a classic example of it.
