Regarding the story “Learning on the menu” [Feb. 5], I hold the position of master teacher. That doesn’t mean I know it all. It does mean that I collaborate, learn from and uplift other educators. It does mean that I am a voice for all teachers and the needs of all students.

We are a professional union, so it is good to see that we have people whose excellence has been recognized, who are mentoring and modeling for their colleagues while they still stay in the trenches. Much better than “experts” from Australia and elsewhere who fly in and tell us what we are doing wrong.
