Special ed children getting lost

New York Teacher

The problem with the DOE’s special ed reform is that they are getting rid of self-contained classes under the guise of a least-restrictive environment. This is a huge disaster because most of our special-needs population thrive in small class settings. They are becoming a lost voice in a sea of children.
