We are vilified by the public every day because of misinformation. I live in New Jersey and not a day goes by that I don’t see a pro-teacher video to inform the public of all of the positive contributions that teachers make to society. The New Jersey teachers’ union lets the public know about the long hours (on their own time) that New Jersey teachers work. They inform them about gains in test scores and New Jersey rankings nationwide. I say, it’s about time that we start seeing teachers portrayed in a positive light and I’m glad that our union is doing just that.
