2013 Strides Kickoff Breakfast
UFT members will be out in force on Sunday, Oct. 20 to raise money in the American Cancer Society’s annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer fundraising walk. A group of UFT members attended the Strides Kickoff breakfast at the Marriott Marquis in Midtown.
UFT members, some of them breast cancer survivors, were joined by mayoral candidate Bill Thompson's wife Elsie (center, in glasses) at a kickoff event.
Myra Entenberg, in charge of fundraising for the UFT’s Manhattan contingent, is a Strides pacesetter, raising more than $2,500 in the past.
