Academic High School Awards Celebration 2019

More than 300 UFT members and their families gathered for the union’s annual Academic High School Awards Celebration on April 12 to honor the commitment, dedication and success of New York City’s public high schools and their educators.

Gathered for the presentations are (from left) DeShashanna Barker of Queens Preparatory Academy, Charles Di Benedetto of Richmond Hill HS in Queens, Stephanie Kudison of Bard HS Early College in Manhattan, Bernard Schwimmer of Carver HS for Science in Queens and Renee Freeman of George Washington Carver HS for the Sciences in Queens.
