Speech therapist Marjorie James and her student Michael Sanchez of East Elmhurst Community School in District 30, Queens, were honored for their project “Lazy T.”

With the guidance of provider Jaimee Samson, Giovanni Rescigno of Gramercy Arts HS in District 2, Manhattan, designed a phone app called Disclose Me that students can use to tell teachers what their disabilities are and what accommodations they need.

Therapist Katherine Regnell of JHS 185 in District 25, Queens, with her student Daniil Akhobadze, who gave a “shout out to the UFT for giving me this awesome award!”
