Book launch for “This is Not a Test”
UFT President Michael Mulgrew read an extended excerpt from “This is Not a Test,” a book written by Jose Luis Vilson, a math coach at IS 52 in Inwood, at a book launch held at union headquarters on May 6. The book is part memoir, part ode to teaching and part challenge to teachers to speak up for themselves and for their students.
