Brooklyn Parent Conference 2019
Hundreds of parents turned out to PS 141 on a Saturday for the special 10th anniversary Brooklyn parent conference, where they attended workshops about parent advocacy, health and self-care, student performances, networking, entertainment and camaraderie.
Students from PS 354 in Brooklyn, led by teacher Shola Roberts, perform a lively dance to start the day.
Kiki Najajima-Caplan, a teacher with the Children Achieving Results Effectively (CARE) program, leads students from four Brooklyn schools in a steel drum band.
Attendees smile for the camera at the photo booth.
This year’s conference included the first-ever “paint and sip” workshop. Attendees sipped juice while a facilitator guided them through creating their paintings.
