Members from PS 106 in Parkchester show their #PublicSchoolProud spirit at the event.
UFT President Michael Mulgrew and District 11 Superintendent Meisha Ross Porter (second from left) and District 11 Representative Alice Cooper Jackson (right) flank the night’s honorees: Eugenia Montalvo, the principal of PS 106; Maria Francisco, a paraprofessional at MS 287; Kristy Falotico, a PS 83 teacher; and Sean Licata, the principal of MS 370.
Members from Bronx Alliance, Baychester and One World middle schools helped raise money for scholarships by purchasing raffle tickets in addition to the dinner-dance tickets. More than $8,000 was raised.
Members from PS 97 in Pelham Gardens celebrate the district’s first scholarship dinner. The Municipal Credit Union and McGraw-Hill donated gift certificates for the honorees.
McGraw-Hill donated Chromebooks to honor four outstanding students. Teachers Kristin Edlund (left), from PS 105 in Bronxdale, and Giuliana Addesso (right), from PS 175 in City Island, join Mulgrew and the happy honorees.
Members from PS/MS 83 in Morris Park. District 11 chapter leaders donated themed baskets — beauty spa, beach accessories — that were raffled to raise scholarship money.
Mulgrew joins members from PS 153 in Co-op City in celebrating District 11’s first scholarship dinner dance.
