Functional Chapters Meet the President 2018
Glen Ladner, a social worker at Fort Hamilton HS in Brooklyn, asks UFT President Michael Mulgrew what will happen if the Supreme Court rules in favor of the plaintiff in Janus v. AFSCME. Mulgrew responded that an anti-union ruling is expected but until the specifics of the ruling are revealed, the UFT is preparing for the worst eventuality: having to reorganize all its members.
Mulgrew addresses the group.
Minnah Sabree, an early childhood coordinator, speaks with UFT Assistant Secretary LeRoy Barr at the end of the meeting.
Mireille Laventure-Jean, a school nurse at PS 117 in Queens, listens to Mulgrew.
School psychologist Dr. Tiffany Bui-Rothman of the HS of Fashion Industries, Manhattan, with Don Albright, a UFT special representative and the chapter liaison for the Social Workers and School Psychologists Chapter.
