Innovative Drum Circles workshop

Music teachers from across the city came to UFT headquarters on Saturday, April 26 for a drum circles workshop hosted by the Music Teachers Association/UFT that was fun and hands-on — and aligned to the Common Core Learning Standards.

The group played ethnic rhythms from around the world under the tutelage of Mary Knysh, a facilitator from Music for People, an international organization that promotes self- expression through music improvisation.
