A large contingent of students from Martin Van Buren HS in Queens Village made the trip to Washington, D.C. and came face to face with graduates from Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS in Florida who had lost loved ones.
Students from the Urban Assembly Gateway School for Technology in Manhattan converged on AFT headquarters in Washington, D.C.
The United Nations club at the Manhattan Center for Science and Mathematics sent a contingent to the D.C. march.
Marchers proceeded down Central Park West.
Matt Driscoll, a teacher at the Clinton School, and his wife Melissa Williams, an occupational therapist in District 6, attended the march with their son Max.
