Mulgrew visits P186, the Bronx
There was a warm welcome — and a sign to match the mood — for UFT President Michael Mulgrew.
Over 100 educators turned out at 7:30 a.m. for the meeting.
“Staff members were enthusiastic and came from our different sites,” said Chapter Leader Don Albright (far right), with (from left) teacher and UFT Delegate Cesar Nina, Paraprofessional Representative Mike Delhoy and Mulgrew.
Chapter Leader Albright said that Mulgrew covered all the issues that were of most concern to his staff.
Getting the latest information about SESIS was high on the list at this District 75 school.
Members wanted to know about the next union contract, upcoming teacher evaluations, updates on the UFT and possible mayoral candidates.

“This could not have worked out better for us,” said Chapter Leader Albright (far right) with teachers and Mulgrew. “My staff got a lot of information, they commented on how knowledgeable and down-to-earth Michael Mulgrew is, told me to thank him again, and their only other question is when can he come back again.”
