Saying that “the current Common Core program in New York is not working,” Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Sept. 3 convened a “representative group” from a pre-existing education commission to conduct a “comprehensive review of the implementation of the Common Core Learning standards. He asked the group to release its findings before his State of the State address in January.
