With the new school year underway, the UFT on Sept. 24 launched a television ad campaign celebrating the diversity and success of the New York City public school system.
The 30-second spot called “One” features public school teachers, parents and students calling on all New Yorkers to celebrate "the passion and promise in our public schools."
“We are the largest and most diverse school district in America,” says UFT President Michael Mulgrew in the ad, “sharing one goal… to help every child succeed.”
The campaign is expected to cost more than $1.5 million and will run from Sept. 24 to Oct. 4. The ad will appear during news coverage of the Pope's visit to New York, as well as on Thursday Night Football, Scandal , Good Morning America, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Morning Joe and other widely watched programs.
The spot was produced by Shorr, Johnson and Magnus Strategic Media.
