You will be receiving, or have recently received, a letter from the Social Security Administration outlining your Medicare Part B obligation for 2016. It may also include your income-related monthly adjustment amount (IRMAA).
This IRMAA obligation is reimbursable by New York City, along with your Medicare Part B reimbursement. This letter should be kept on file — you will have to file it with New York City Employee Benefits for reimbursement toward the end of 2016. This letter may also include information about IRMAA for Part D, drug coverage, as well. Part D IRMAA is not reimbursable by the City.
