The Retired Teachers Chapter is sponsoring two annual benefits meetings for retirees in early 2023. The first is on Jan. 10 at 1 p.m. and the second is on Feb. 1 at 3:30 p.m. Both are online-only sessions.

The meetings will cover the following topics: pension, the UFT Supplemental Health Insurance Program (SHIP), the benefits of Retired Teachers Chapter membership, the union’s retiree programs, Retiree Social Services and Welfare Fund benefits.

The speakers include RTC Chapter Leader Tom Murphy; Director of Retiree Programs Gino Giustra; UFT Treasurer Debra Penny, who is the union’s liaison to the retirees; Retiree Social Services Director Christopher Chin; SHIP Executive Director Patricia Rojas; and a Welfare Fund representative.
