Due to severe weather conditions, New York City public schools will be closed on Thursday, February 9, 2017. School-based staff should not report to work.

The Department of Education issued the following instructions concerning members of the Teachers Assigned chapter:

Employees whose work assignment is in a school (e.g., Single Shepherds and Universal Literacy Coaches) should not report to work.

For staff who normally report to central and field offices: While schools are closed, central and field offices remain open, including those offices which are located in school buildings. All central and field office staff should report to work or utilize annual leave.
