Contract 2019-22: Retaliation and harassment
This contract offers relief from retaliation, harassment, intimidation and discrimination.
- It requires the DOE to maintain an environment that promotes an open and respectful exchange of ideas. Retaliation, harassment, intimidation and discrimination of any kind because an employee raises concerns or reports a violation or a suspected violation of any DOE policy, rule, law or regulation and/or contractual violation are explicitly prohibited.
- Retaliation, harassment, intimidation and/or discrimination for participating or cooperation in an investigation is also prohibited.
- UFT-represented employees can file grievances in response to violations of this new contractual clause.
