Free Food
Along with public schools, many community organizations and businesses want to help food-insecure families. Look for groceries and daily grab-and-go meals from these organizations.

- News about the 2020-21 school year: Find the latest updates about the plan to reopen schools on the DOE website »
- Free grab-and-go meals: All New Yorkers may pick up three free grab-and-go meals per day at any of more than 400 sites around the city. Meals are available between 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. every weekday. Children and families are encouraged to pick up their meals between 7:30 and 11:30 a.m., and adults are encouraged to come between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Find a site near you
