- An Employee who resigns shall give the Employer four (4) weeks advance notice.
- An Employee who gives notice of resignation, as provided above, shall be entitled to receive payment for unused vacation time, holidays and personal days accrued on the effective date of the resignation. If notice is not given as provided above, the Employee shall not be entitled to such payment, provided it was possible for the Employee to have given such notice.
- A Registered Nurse who is laid off will be given four weeks advance notice or equivalent compensation and shall receive payment for unused vacation time, holidays and personal days accrued on the effective day of layoff.
- If a laid off Registered Nurse waives his/her right to be recalled or loses his/her seniority pursuant to Article 7, severance pay at the rate of one weeks' salary for each year of service will be paid to a maximum of four weeks' pay.
